• Universal Health Coverage as a goal for achieving basic human rights to health
• Definition and components of a Healthcare System, including human and monetary resources, institutions, and service delivery outlets
• Varieties of healthcare system models influenced by economic, cultural, and societal contexts
• Values guiding healthcare system development and implementation
• Socio-cultural factors impacting healthcare delivery at national and local levels

Students will gain a nuanced understanding of how health systems operate across diverse global contexts, enhancing their ability to analyze and contribute to healthcare policy and practice worldwide.

Community Health is an evidence-based practice focused on preventing and reducing population-wide public health issues such as crime, disease, and poverty (CDP), which contribute significantly to morbidity and mortality rates globally. This course centers on the Community Transformational Change (CTC) model, utilizing a public health approach to address community-wide health and behavioral issues.

Key aspects covered in the course include:

• Basic knowledge required to create and sustain CTC awareness
• Examination of community functions and structures
• Overview of the five implementation phases of the CTC model
• Understanding the roles of key leaders and community work-groups in implementing the CTC model
